Nestled between the 11,915-foot Mt. Charleston and the Spring Mountains to the east and the Nopah Vista Mountains and Death Valley to the west, PAHRUMP offers some quiet beauty, too. It’s the eastern gateway to Death Valley National Park, as well as the home of Pahrump Valley Winery, the only winery in the Mojave Desert. And birders and wildlife lovers will find plenty to explore on thousands of acres of wetlands at the Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge, just 30 miles to the northwest
